From Couch to Half Marathon: A Mother’s Journey to the Finish Line
If you had told me a year ago that I’d be crossing the finish line of a half marathon, I would have laughed, not out of disbelief, but because I was a mother of one who had never trained regularly in my life.
But something changed. One day, I signed up for a half marathon. No long-winded planning, no prior running experience, just a gut feeling that it was time to do something for me. Something big.
Training wasn’t easy. Juggling family life, fatigue, and self-doubt made every week a challenge. But I stuck with it. One run at a time, I watched myself become stronger, more disciplined, more me. I learned to show up. Not just for the race, but for myself.
And then race day came. Nervous, excited, proud.
I ran the whole thing. Not for a medal or a time. I ran to prove that growth isn’t reserved for athletes or people with perfect routines. It’s for anyone brave enough to start.
If you're reading this and wondering whether you could do it too...you can! Sign up. Start small and keep going.
Because the finish line isn’t just a place: it’s a mindset.
And running isn't a pace: it's a movement!
